King Darci helps take Tim Martin's strike rate to 1 winner in 4.9 starters.

Tim was very pleased with the effort of Import Racing's King Darci, stating, "that was his best win to date". "I was pleased to see him put in the hard yards and chase down Bjorn Baker's horse, Rock Of Mahal, and draw clear on the line and judging by the run today I think he will perform at the mile".

Martin also cheekily went on to say "Tye rode him extremely well today and may have had some aerodynamic assistance from his porn star Movember moustache today...I hope the stewards don't call him in for that".

The way Kind Darci ran the race today is becoming the norm for this gutsy gelding. Throughout his 10 starts he has always put in and never gives up.

David Mourad, who has been busy in New Zealand securing new animals for his syndication company Import Racing, was delighted with the win and stated "It was a good patient ride from Tye and King Darci did a good job to chase down the tear-away leader. The downpour before the race may have helped in taking the sting out of the track".

King Darci is study of consistency showing improvement in almost every one of his starts. When looking at his results, thus far, he really has never (apart from his first start back from a 22 week spell) put in a poor performance.

Kind Darci is a 4yo gelding by Darci Bharma out of La Serenade and he has had 10 starts for 2 wins, 3 seconds and 1 third taking his career earnings to $55,730.
